MOU Signed with Shanghai Normal University

The Department of Interior Architecture at Gachon University has officially signed a MOU with the Department of Environmental Design, College of Arts, Shanghai Normal University. This agreement marks the beginning of a meaningful academic partnership between the two institutions.

Starting from the Spring 2026 semester, both departments will collaborate on the third-year design studio, establishing a shared design theme and conducting joint lectures, cross-institutional critiques, and collaborative review sessions. In addition, the two universities have agreed to organize a shared exhibitions in both universities, showcasing student works produced through this joint studio initiative.

Building on this initial collaboration, the partnership will be gradually expanded to explore further academic opportunities, including the development of a credit exchange program between the two institutions.

This collaboration aims to broaden students’ perspectives on spatial design, deepen cultural understanding, and foster creative exchange through international academic engagement. The MOU is expected to serve as a foundation for long-term cooperation in education, research, and shared design practices.
