SELab Students at the 2026 AIDIA Workshop

Four student researchers from the Spatial Experience Lab participated in the 2026 AIDIA International Student Workshop, collaborating with students from across Asia on an intensive international design project.

The workshop was held at Henan University in Kaifeng, China. The participating SELab members were Haeun Lee, a master’s student researcher; Minseo Kang, a fourth-year undergraduate researcher; and Dongwook Kim and Yubin Han, third-year undergraduate researchers.

During the workshop, the students worked in international teams with participants from Korea, China, and Thailand. Through site exploration, group discussions, design development, and final presentations, they exchanged cultural and educational perspectives and developed collaborative approaches to spatial design.

The workshop offered the students an opportunity to communicate and design across linguistic and cultural boundaries. It also enabled them to experience an intensive international studio environment in which ideas were developed through collaboration, negotiation, and shared problem-solving.

Their participation reflects SELab’s continuing commitment to connecting spatial research and design education with international exchange and collaborative learning.
