Undergraduate Research Student, Taebean Lim, Awarded Best Paper Presentation at the 2025 Autumn Conference of the Korean Institute of Interior Design(KIID)

We are pleased to announce that Taebean Lim , a student in the Integrated Bachelor-Master Program and a member of the SELab in the Department of Interior Architecture at Gachon University, received a Best Presentation Award at the 2025 Korean Institute of Interior Design (KIID) Autumn Conference held on November 15 at Bucheon University.

The awarded research investigated the physical and cognitive characteristics of older adults and developed an evidence-based design proposal for an elderly community centre. By examining age-related changes in mobility, balance, sensory capacity, and spatial cognition, the study proposed a user-centred environment that enhances safety, autonomy, and community engagement for senior users.

This achievement highlights the student’s strong research capability and their ability to translate empirical insights into meaningful spatial solutions.
Congratulations once again to Taebean Lim for this outstanding accomplishment!
