Field Trip to Museum SAN
On May 28, 2025, members of the Spatial Experience Lab visited Museum SAN in Wonju, designed by Tadao Ando and renowned for its seamless blend of architecture, art, and landscape.
This trip gathered undergraduate researchers, master’s students, and alumni, creating a meaningful intergenerational encounter. The highlight was the recently opened Antony Gormley Pavilion, where participants not only explored the artist’s sculptures but also engaged in moments of quiet meditation. The experience of being still within the gallery space deepened awareness of the body, atmosphere, and surrounding nature.
The visit became more than an encounter with art and architecture—it was a reflective journey that enriched our ongoing exploration of spatial experience, memory, and embodiment.
