Joint Seminar with XA

On June 24, the SELAb (Spatial Experience Lab) held a joint final review seminar with XA Lab (Experience Architecture Lab, Department of Architecture, Sungkyunkwan University). The event took place at Sungkyunkwan University and featured research presentations by students from both institutions, fostering dialogue on experience-centred design, technology, and spatial research.

Four members from Spatial Experience Lab. Lim Taebean, Lee Nakyoung, Kim Jaemin, and Lee Haeun, presented their design research projects developed over the semester. Topics included the influence of natural elements on spatial experience and emotional memory, the spatial meaning of smell, and everyday life in domestic space. Each project reflected the lab’s continued emphasis on sensory perception, embodied experience, and cultural narratives in interior architecture.

The seminar provided an engaging platform for cross-institutional exchange and critical discussion. We thank Professor Sanghee Lee, Eunjoo Prak and the XA Lab team for their generous participation and thoughtful feedback.
